SilentRansomGroup Claims Cyberattack on Confidential Industries, Threatens Data Leak

NEW YORK, September 23 — The ransomware crew calling itself SilentRansomGroup says it hit Confidential Industries Inc., and it is already threatening to dump sensitive data unless talks begin. The claim, surfaced through dark web monitoring and threat intelligence collection, lands as ransomware keeps spreading across enterprise and mid-sized organizations in every sector. What’s changing is not the extortion playbook.

It’s how fast the claim itself becomes the story. The group posted its threat against Confidential Industries, whose domain is confidentialindustries.com, and the source material offers nothing beyond that claim — no ransom figure, no data volume, no count of affected individuals, no word on whether negotiations have started.

No company statement. No government response. No independent verification of the breach.

No timeline for a threatened release. That silence is the whole picture right now, and it is worth reading carefully.

The only public voice in this case belongs to the attackers.

A pattern, not an outlier

The Confidential Industries claim sits inside a broader run of incidents the same threat intelligence reporting flags as context. Siinqee Bank, described as a leading financial institution in Ethiopia, was hit by LockBit 5.0, whose attackers issued threats. Termite targeted theLender, described as a leading US wholesale mortgage company, with sensitive data said to be at risk unless negotiations proceed.

And Columbus Informatica, described as a leading Italian software company, was attacked by the Qilin group, with sensitive data at risk of exposure unless negotiations proceed. Those are separate incidents, not confirmed links to the Confidential Industries attack.

But the trend underneath is consistent: finance, mortgage, software, and now an unnamed target — the spread is across sectors, and the pressure tactic is the same. Threaten disclosure, force a conversation, move fast.

Where the claim came from

The reporting comes from DeXpose, a threat intelligence provider whose platform combines automated deep and dark web crawling, Telegram and forum monitoring, and real analyst verification. DeXpose states that it does not engage in the exfiltration, hosting, redistribution, or purchase of stolen data, and that all breach information it reports is collected from publicly accessible dark web sources and threat intelligence platforms. Its stated mission is to equip organizations with early-warning indicators, contextual threat insights, and actionable intelligence.

That early-warning category is exactly what security vendors market to enterprises, government agencies, and law enforcement — and it is the same capability that surfaced this claim before any victim confirmation existed. For defenders, the practical takeaway in the source is early detection and proactive defense.

Continuous monitoring of breached web services. Attack surface mapping of exposed digital assets and services. Supply chain monitoring of vendors’ exposure.

Brand protection against phishing and impersonation. DeXpose promotes free domain exposure reports covering breached credentials, infostealer logs, and dark web mentions, and offers an Oracle breach check tool.

The company also serves MSPs through partnership programs and offers API-based data partnerships for embedding dark web intelligence into third-party products. What the source does not give is just as telling. Confidential Industries Inc.’s sector, size, and location are not identified.

There is no attribution beyond SilentRansomGroup’s own claim. The central open questions stay open: whether negotiations occur, whether data is ultimately leaked, and what the attackers actually hold. Watch this space.

The next signal will be whether Confidential Industries breaks its silence — or whether SilentRansomGroup makes good on the threat first.
