Securitize Lists on NYSE, Tokenizes 295M Stock on Solana, Avalanche

NEW YORK, July 7 — Securitize, a company that bridges traditional finance and decentralized finance (DeFi), went public on the New York Stock Exchange on July 2 under the ticker SECZ. The listing, achieved through a SPAC merger that raised approximately $400 million, valued the firm at $1.25 billion. Immediately after its public debut, Securitize tokenized $295 million of its own stock on the Solana and Avalanche blockchains.

That single issuance is the largest tokenized stock ever launched.

Under the hood: the numbers that matter

The SPAC route to a public listing is, as ever, a mechanism that lets a company reach the NYSE without the full roadshow ritual of a traditional IPO. For Securitize, the $400 million it raised through that merger provides the balance sheet to pursue what it actually does for a living: turning conventional financial assets into blockchain-based tokens that can be traded, settled, and recorded on distributed ledgers. The detail that matters for investors, however, is that the business appears to be generating real revenue, not just press releases.

In the first quarter of 2026, Securitize reported revenue of $19.5 million, a 39 percent increase year-over-year and its highest quarterly revenue to date. Transaction volume for the quarter hit $1.9 billion.

Tokenized assets under management stood at approximately $3.4 billion, spread across nearly 650 funds. That is not a rounding error for a firm that started life as a niche operator in the gap between traditional finance and decentralized finance, or DeFi.

The largest tokenized stock ever

The $295 million tokenization of Securitize’s own stock is worth pausing over, because it is both a product demonstration and a piece of financial engineering. The company issued tokens representing its NYSE-listed shares on the Solana and Avalanche blockchains, meaning those tokens can be held, transferred, or used in DeFi protocols while still representing a claim on a conventional NYSE-listed equity. That is the bridge Securitize has been building.

The company’s core business is helping other issuers — fund managers, private companies, real estate vehicles — tokenize their assets so they can be traded with the speed and programmability of crypto while retaining the legal status of traditional securities. The fact that it has now done it for its own stock, at that scale, is the sort of signal that institutional investors tend to notice.

What to watch next

The obvious question, now that Securitize is a public company with a tokenized stock trading on two blockchains, is whether other listed firms will follow. The technical infrastructure exists; the regulatory framework, at least in the United States, is still being written. Securitize’s own debut suggests the market is willing to assign a meaningful valuation — $1.25 billion — to a company that sits at the intersection of two worlds that have not always trusted each other.

For the moment, the numbers speak for themselves: $3.4 billion in tokenized assets under management, $1.9 billion in quarterly transaction volume, and a public listing that happened on the same exchange that lists Apple and ExxonMobil. The wry observation is that the crypto industry spent years promising to disrupt Wall Street, and Securitize appears to have done it by joining Wall Street and making the technology work inside its plumbing.

That is not a headline that fits on a protest banner, but it may be the one that lasts.
